QTI – Quantum Telecommunications Italy is the new spin-off company of the CNR born within the National Institute of Optics in Florence by a group of researchers and entrepreneurs with many years of experience in the field of quantum technologies. The mission of the QTI is to exploit the laws of nature, such as quantum mechanics, to ensure efficient and absolutely secure communications, also able to make possible connections between future devices such as computers and quantum sensors. The new company aims to design, develop and produce quantum communications architectures and for private companies, government apparatuses, and research institutions.
